Walk to Bondi: City2Surf 2017 fundraising for Innerwest WIRES

Hello Everyone,

Sunday 13 August 2017 is the City2Surf, the annual fun run/walk from the centre of town in Sydney out to the beach at Bondi, 14km away. The event has been held annually since 1971, and now attracts 90,000+ participants. All manner of folks: from serious runners and wheelchair athletes, regular weekend joggers, to casual walkers and occasional superheroes. It is also a fundraising event for various community groups and charities.

A small group of us from Innerwest WIRES (Wildlife Information Rescue Information Service) are walking to raise funds for our branch. We spend around $30,000.00 a year on food for injured and/or orphaned native animals, vet bills for same, and equipment such as possum boxes. The possum boxes are made by the local Mens Shed.

Please consider making a donation to my fundraising efforts right here.  And, in case you are wondering, donations over $2.00 are tax deductible in Australia.
