Filter Fun and Fireworks, NYE

Filed under: Tales of Go — Tags: — The Crew @ 3:50 am

The new year is nearly a week old, and presently the Christmas decorations will be packed away for another year.

With pals, we watched the NYE fireworks and annual blowing up of the harbour bridge from our front balcony. Although the evening is now in the rear view vision mirror, here are some doctored pix of the fireworks. Best wishes to all for a wonderful 2018.

Happy New Year 2017

Filed under: Tales of Go — Tags: — The Crew @ 11:48 pm

Long time between drinks.

Happy New Year to any and all our visitors.

Brief summary of our New Years Eve in Drummoyne: Feed orphaned possum joeys, dinner with friends, watch fireworks from the balcony.
Friends Kris, Fiona, Ross, and Kate joined us. Kris brought her three youngest joey possums – 2 ringtails, 1 brushtail – for their evening feed. They will be in care of WIRES volunteers until they are large enough (weekly weigh-in) for release.

Can you see the difference in facial features between ringtail and brushtail possums? Note, the brushtail is younger, but will ultimately grow larger than the ringtail.

Food and drinks appropriate for festive occasion.

Fireworks, still fabulous

A few late night crackers of questionable legality from local yahoos.

Bed.

All in all, a grand night in.

Our best to you all in 2017

If any of you feel inclined to support a Go Fund Me campaign for a wildlife carer, please take a look at this page. Lots of kool videos. Thanks!
